Hatha Yoga Portsmouth

Hatha Yoga

Wednesday 6.30pm – 7.45pm
Held in Portsmouth

All my classes are friendly, fun & non-judgemental.

Yoga is a not a competitive practise, so I always encourage students to listen to their bodies and work to their own abilities.

What is Hatha Yoga?

Hatha Yoga is a branch of yoga that focuses on physical postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama) to balance the body and mind. It encourages slow, deliberate movements and holds in poses to bring strength and flexibility.

But Yoga is not just about stretching.

I like to bring all aspects of Yoga into my class and each week there will be a focus of some aspect of Yogic Philosophy.

I always begin the class by taking some time to connect to the mind and body with the focus on the breath – encouraging you to leave your day behind.

We then practise some gentle warm ups before we before we begin the Asanas (postures).

Throughout the session I will always be guiding you to stay connected to the body and breath.

At the end of the session, we relax the body before closing with some simple chanting.
